Fornudden School is a modern, newly built school offering education from preschool class to grade 9 for approximately 880 students. We are ambitious in our mission and constantly strive to develop our operations with the student at the center. We are convinced that good relationships between students, guardians, and staff are fundamental for excellent academic results and a secure workplace for both students and employees.

Fornudden School is centrally located in Tyresö. The location, with proximity to both nature and culture as well as good transportation links, makes the school very attractive.

The school's student health team includes the principal, deputy principals, special education needs coordinators, special teachers, school psychologists, school counselors, and school nurses. We have high goals for our operations, striving to continuously develop teaching with a basic focus on security and study environment. We believe that good relationships between students, as well as between guardians and staff, are a prerequisite for good academic results and a pleasant atmosphere at the school.

About the position

We are looking for you who love to teach and put the student at the center. You have a positive and professional attitude, are flexible, have clear leadership in the classroom, show great engagement, and have high expectations in your work. You have good relationships with your students and work actively for our students' goal fulfillment and well-being.

Adapting teaching with varied approaches and examination methods is second nature to you. You naturally have good knowledge of, and use, formative assessment.

You will be a mentor and part of a work team where you are expected to collaborate closely with other teachers in the team, the grades you teach, as well as the school's student health team and school management. Joint planning and assessment with subject colleagues are part of the daily work.

The position is filled subject to the condition that it does not need to be used for internal reassignments.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and qualified to teach grades 7-9 in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (NO).

You have knowledge of and experience working with digital tools. You have the ability to engage, see, and challenge all students. You are pedagogical and cohesive in the classroom, achieving good academic results through inclusion and relationship building. You strive for all students to achieve further than they thought possible, and you are well acquainted with the curriculum and other regulatory documents. You are interested in school development and following research and development.

You are reliable, meticulous, have a good ability to plan your own time, and find it easy to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
