As a district nurse or registered nurse at the health center, you work with reception duties and remote contacts. You assist with and are responsible for patient care during various treatments, emergency care, sample collection, and telephone healthcare advice. This involves making assessments, giving advice, and directing patients to the correct healthcare facility. We work actively to create variety in the tasks.

At Stensö Health Center, you meet patients via telephone, through various digital health services, and in digital health meetings, in addition to direct reception contacts at the health center. Through professional assessment and counseling, you guide our patients to the right care. The role also includes the opportunity to be responsible for a nurse-led clinic, based on your interest and previous experience.

The position is a one-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension. Introduction and tasks are adapted to your previous experience. Work within the primary care emergency service may occur to a limited extent.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed registered nurse. Experience in care coordination and previous experience working in primary care with telephone advice is meritorious. We want you to be involved in the development of the operations, always considering the best interests of the entire operation. You are responsible, structured, positive, and adaptable to changing circumstances. You can work independently based on your experience, with the possibility of collegial support where needed. You are service-oriented and comfortable in patient interactions. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Stensö Health Center is a modern and pleasant facility located near the hospital. We are approximately 30 employees with diverse backgrounds and broad competence. We have just over 8,300 registered patients and are geographically close to the hospital and adjacent to nature and recreation areas. We offer healthcare within the specialist area of general medicine and work health-promoting according to the guidelines for Hälsoval Kalmar County. There are several nurse-led clinics, for example, for diabetes, blood pressure, lifestyle, asthma/COPD, dementia, and urinary incontinence. We also work with rehabilitation during sick leave. In addition to doctors, assistant nurses, and medical secretaries, primary care psychologists are also attached to the team.
