Continuing Education for Adults (Komvux) in Södertälje is looking for dedicated SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) teachers on direct contracts.

Södertälje Municipality's Komvux offers all forms of study for adults. We currently have approximately 100 employees working together to provide our students with the best conditions to achieve their goals. Your Responsibilities

We are looking for two SFI teachers who can work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues in a well-organized pedagogical environment. As a teacher with us, you are part of a professional context where planning, implementation of teaching, assessment, and ongoing communication with students and colleagues are central parts of your assignment. We work with clear pedagogical structures and well-developed plans, which create stability and give you good conditions to focus on quality teaching.

You will teach adult learners with different backgrounds and experiences, making the role both meaningful and developmental. We primarily use Office 365 and Teams in our work and would appreciate it if you have experience with these or similar digital tools. As an SFI teacher, you may also be scheduled for evening shifts. Therefore, you are expected to be able to teach and be available for students during certain evenings of the week, which contributes to our ability to offer flexible study opportunities for our adult learners.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a qualified SFI teacher and comfortable working based on a fixed pedagogical structure. Having an approach where the student is in focus and where you work based on the school's value foundation is a given. You see connections and take responsibility for the whole by being inspiring and clear in both verbal and written communication. You understand the importance of collaborating closely with your colleagues in the work team as well as with the administration and your nearest manager. You have an open, non-hierarchical, and solution-focused approach, as well as an understanding of the collegial and collective context.

Meritorious Qualifications:

• Experience working with adults, especially adults in an intercultural context.
• Good familiarity with working with teaching, grades, and assessment.
• Previous experience from work with digital learning platforms.
