About the position
The position involves pedagogical work in primary school grades 4–6 with class teacher duties and teaching primarily in Swedish and Mathematics. A broad subject competence is desirable.
We are open to trying out new ideas so that students have a learning environment that is varied, exciting, fun, meaningful, and stimulating. You will have the opportunity to continuously develop and change the operations together with other educators.
At Bergfoten School, we work with shared mentorship, which means that together with your closest colleagues, you are responsible for all students in a grade.
Reading is at the center of our work. We know that a secure and joyful reading development is the foundation for all learning. Therefore, we actively work with evidence-based tools, such as LegiLexi, to strengthen students' linguistic awareness, reading fluency, and reading comprehension.
Permanent position, 100%, monthly salary, start date August 10. We have ongoing interviews, and the position is published with the reservation that it may be filled by surplus employees within the framework of ongoing reorganization.
Who are you?
You have a teaching license with eligibility to teach in grades 4–6, primarily in Swedish, Mathematics (and Social Studies), and preferably more subjects.
You are well acquainted with the curriculum and work actively based on it. You express yourself well in speech and writing.
You create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and foster engagement and participation. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work and see opportunities in changes. You have good pedagogical insight and understanding of how students acquire knowledge from different prerequisites.
