If you are new to the profession, Örnsköldsvik Municipality offers an induction program for new teachers, meaning you will be assigned a mentor during your first year. Your mentor is an experienced teacher with the same subject qualifications, ready to guide and support you.

Responsibilities

You will teach Swedish, Social Studies (SO), and Physical Education and Health in grades 4–6. You will have overall responsibility for the student group, including managing related documentation and contacts. Communication and collaboration with guardians are an important part of the role. The position involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching together with a work team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a teaching degree and qualifications for grades 4–6 in Swedish, Social Studies subjects, and Physical Education and Health.

We seek someone who enjoys challenges and innovative thinking, viewing differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development. You are a secure adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a positive atmosphere within the student group and work team is second nature to you.

We would appreciate it if you have experience leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and the skill to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are receptive, responsible, engaged, and creative.
