We are looking for a Child Health Care Nurse in Hudiksvall

Your health center is one of the larger health centers in the county with just over 14,500 registered patients. We currently have approximately 100 employees who together provide primary care including a doctor's office, district nurse clinic, specialist nurse clinic, Child Health Care (BVC) with a Family Center, psychosocial team, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy.

We now need to strengthen the staffing at the Child Health Care center during the period when our colleague is on parental leave. Job Responsibilities

The mandate of Child Health Care is regulated via the National Handbook, the Health Choice Handbook, and Child Health Care guidelines. The mandate of the health center and the Child Health Care nurse is to work from a general health-promoting and disease-preventive perspective. As a Child Health Care nurse, you will offer expectant parents as well as children aged 0 to 5 years and their parents a meeting place with access to consolidated and easily accessible high-quality support. We collaborate with open preschools, maternal and child health care, and the preventive activities of social services within our Family Center.

The Family Center, where Hudiksvall Municipality and Region Gävleborg have co-located operations, collaborates to offer easily accessible support to expectant parents and families with children, thereby contributing to good upbringing conditions and good health for the children. The form of collaboration is based on the activities complementing each other, sharing knowledge, and cooperating to find joint solutions to specific problems and stimulating the development of new working methods.

As a Child Health Care nurse with us, you will among other things work with:

• Standard Child Health Care visits
• Vaccination clinic
• Telephone counseling and home visits
• Leading parent groups together with other actors at the Family Center

Qualifications

We are looking for you who find it easy to collaborate with other professional groups around the child at the Family Center, such as midwives, social workers, and preschool teachers. You have the ability to work independently, are structured, and can make your own decisions.

In the role of Child Health Care nurse, you must:

• Be a registered nurse with a specialist degree in child and adolescent health care, or alternatively have district nurse education including prescription rights
• Hold a valid B driver's license

For this position, it is meritorious if you have knowledge and experience of Child Health Care guidelines for CHC and experience working in primary care. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
