We are looking for an employee for the Municipal Activity Responsibility (KAA) at Moraberg Study Centre. All municipalities are required to stay informed about and offer individual measures to young people under the age of 20 who are not studying in upper secondary school or undergoing any equivalent education.

KAA should continuously throughout the year stay informed about how the young people in the municipality who belong to the target group for the activity responsibility are occupied.

KAA should offer suitable individual measures to the young people covered by the activity responsibility. The measures should primarily aim to motivate the young people to start or resume education. At Moraberg Study Centre, we offer, among other things, the Individual Alternative. The interventions should be documented appropriately. KAA must keep a register of the young people covered by the activity responsibility.

KAA has a close collaboration with Moraberg Study Centre, which is a small school with approximately 200 students where we have gathered teachers and a student health team with specialized competence for students who wish to qualify for national programs and/or develop their new language, Swedish. Students from KAA get the opportunity within the Individual Alternative to read upper secondary courses in combination with primary school subjects. Our goal is to motivate and guide students further into continued studies or into working life.

At Moraberg Study Centre, all students should feel welcome, seen, and understood, and a warm and relationship-oriented climate should prevail.

At Moraberg Study Centre, students choose to study on one of the following introduction programs: Language Introduction or Vocational Introduction towards Stylist and MC Mechanic.

Your responsibilities

The work involves contacting young people between 16 and 19 years old (not yet 20), and for those who do not have an occupation, you should motivate them to resume studies, start an internship, or offer other motivating interventions. It also includes a proactive assignment where you, together with a colleague, knock on doors where we previously failed to make contact via letters, SMS, or phone calls.

The assignment also includes teaching in groups/classes when regular teachers are absent.

Who are you?

You are a teacher student in Swedish as a Second Language and have come a good way into your education and completed VFU (practical training) at the lower secondary or upper secondary level. You have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well familiar with the current curriculum and other regulatory documents.

Requirements:

  • You are studying the subject teacher program with a focus on Swedish as a Second Language in combination with another subject.
  • You have worked as a substitute teacher.
