About Us

Närhälsan Vårgårda Health Centre is centrally located at the bus and railway station in Vårgårda Municipality. The municipality has approximately 11,000 inhabitants and is an expanding community with good connections by train and bus to Gothenburg and other larger towns in the surrounding area. The community is located in an old cultural landscape with beautiful walking areas and has a rich association life. At Närhälsan Vårgårda Health Centre, we are 40 employees in different professions, and we are a team of general specialists, specialty trainees (ST), and resident doctors (AT). We have a positive work environment characterized by humor and team spirit. About the Job

Your duties at the health centre cover a broad field of work and include general medical competence with patients of all ages and situations. You work independently and with variety in clinic work. Supervision is provided by an experienced specialist who gives you support and knowledge exchange. We offer you varied work with good development opportunities. If you are interested in a free and varied job with the patient where your and your colleagues' work environment is in focus, this is the job for you.

You will have allocated time to participate in the seminars offered or time for your own studies, and you will also participate in the health centre's and the medical group's meetings. Your individual study plan is drawn up together with your supervisor and study director.

About You

You are a licensed physician with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have a strong interest in the field of general medicine. Language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, at a minimum level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement for the position.

We are looking for you who are receptive and have a good approach to people because you meet many different patients at the health centre in your work. You work independently and are confident in making your own decisions, while contributing with engagement and initiative to the development of the operations. You thrive in teamwork and cooperate willingly with colleagues and partners to jointly create a care environment characterized by quality, trust, and care.

For those who have trained as a doctor abroad and have not done AT (basic medical internship) in Sweden to obtain a medical license, the new regulations regarding Base Service (Bastjänstgöring) from July 1, 2021, apply. Base Service for doctors (BT) is a mandatory introductory part of the specialization service in the new regulation ST-2021 (HSLF-FS 2021:8). This means that you need to do BT before or as an introductory part of your ST.
