About the Department

Department 60 at Falu Hospital is a general psychiatric inpatient unit with 14 beds. We have a close and tight collaboration with the ECT unit, where treatments with electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) are performed. The department also implements patient-initiated admission and cares for patients with varying psychiatric diagnoses, according to different care forms and individually adapted care periods. Thanks to our collaboration with somatic care, we admit patients with complex comorbidity – where psychiatric conditions are often combined with somatic care needs. This makes our work environment both varied, educational, and meaningful.

Job Responsibilities

Department 60 at Falu Hospital is now seeking assistant nurses/care assistants for permanent positions. We provide general psychiatric inpatient care with a clear focus on patient-centered nursing, low-affective interaction, and person-centered care.

As part of our team, you will work with patients with broad psychiatric issues and comorbidity.

You will participate in daily nursing care, collaborate with the ECT unit, and contribute to creating a safe and stable care environment.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• We are looking for you who are a care assistant with a degree from the Care and Nursing Program, a Vocational Higher Education (YH) qualification as Care Assistant in Psychiatric Operations (400 credits), or equivalent relevant education. Alternatively, a qualified assistant nurse who has completed the Care and Nursing Program or the vocational package Care and Nursing at adult education.

Merits:
