Fornbackaskolan is a two-stream primary school (grades F-6) with approximately 340 students and 90 staff members. We operate as both a regular primary school and an adapted primary school, which includes a department for students with physical disabilities. The school also hosts its own special education group and a municipal special education group.

At Fornbackaskolan, we work based on a language- and knowledge-developing approach. The importance of communication and interaction is central here. Teachers use cooperative support structures to encourage students to communicate and use the language actively. We also focus on strengthening students' reading skills by systematically training decoding and language comprehension. We actively work to increase students' vocabulary by introducing new words in meaningful contexts and providing opportunities for students to use these words in conversation exercises or their own written texts.

Using an accessible learning environment, we ensure that all students have a positive learning experience and the opportunity to reach their full potential. Classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and tablets. All tablets are equipped with the software available on Skolon, the municipality's shared digital platform.

Your Responsibilities

Your role at Fornbackaskolan is to lay the foundation for lifelong learning. This means you will prepare, plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in a professional manner based on our governing documents.

We are looking for you with a Bachelor of Education degree. It is important to us that you can build good relationships, are attentive, and meet each student based on their individual prerequisites. You are a social team player, a secure individual, and solution-oriented with a positive attitude.

This recruitment is for a fixed-term position during the autumn term of 2025, with a start date in August. The position is a full-time holiday cover job.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who:

• Are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach in Swedish and Social Studies (SO).
• Have experience working as a teacher in grades 4–6.
• Have experience working as a teacher in a special education group.
• Are well-versed in all parts of the curriculum and other relevant governing documents.
• Are familiar with digital tools that you use creatively in teaching as well as for your own planning, follow-up, and documentation.
• Have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

As a person, you are attentive to the students' needs, clear, respectful, and have the ability to collaborate and build relationships with our students, parents, and colleagues.

• You take initiative and adapt easily to changing circumstances.
• The position requires that you can communicate clearly and that you plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.
• We want you to have the ability to adapt teaching and activities so that students can succeed based on their prerequisites.
• You need to be flexible and have the ability to adjust when faced with new situations.

Fornbackaskolan is located approximately 1 km from the Östertälje commuter station. The bus passes the school regularly, and the bus stop is located approximately 100 meters from the school.
