About the Workplace

The Education Administration is responsible for all operations within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school centers, upper secondary schools, and adult education.

Tingvallaskolan is a growing school that is taking big steps to meet the opportunities and challenges of the future. Since the 2024/2025 school year, Tingvallaskolan has been a fully expanded F-9 school (grades 1-9), and this year we are sending off our second cohort of ninth graders. The school has a preparatory class as well as a resource unit focusing on students with linguistic vulnerability. Approximately 530 students attend the school today. We have students from all corners of the world, which enriches our school.

Our school was completed in the autumn of 2022 and offers learning environments designed for teaching and inviting to learning. The school is two-parallel, with two classes in each grade level. The different stages of the school occupy most of the school day on their respective floors.

At the school, dedicated and competent staff work together, engaging in continuous collegial learning. At Tingvallaskolan, we can and want to drive school development at a high level, and our vision is: "Tingvallaskolan, a school for everyone's safety and success where everyone takes responsibility together", which we strive to convey in everything we do. We have a strong focus on knowledge, but at the same time, we equip our students to meet the future, both academically and socially. We believe that all students can achieve great things and develop in a safe environment where students get to practice taking responsibility.

DUTIES

• Substitute teaching in middle school (grades 7-9) during planned absences and sick leave.
• Teach in several of the school's subjects as needed.
• Follow and implement the planning and instructions of regular teachers.
• Work in accordance with the school's common routines and guidelines.
• Create structure, study quiet, and security in the classroom.
• Collaborate with colleagues and the school coordinator regarding tasks and priorities.
• Be flexible and able to adapt to varying tasks throughout the day.
• Act as an extra adult in the classroom and activities during times without scheduled substitute teaching.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Teaching certification or ongoing teacher education.
• Experience working in middle school.
• Interest in relationship-building work and making a difference.
• Ability to create structure, security, and study quiet in the classroom.
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to different teaching situations.
• Good teamwork skills and a professional demeanor.
