The Education Administration is responsible for all operations within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school centers, upper secondary schools, and adult education.

Sagaskolan and Eddaskolan are two schools for grades F-6 in the heart of Valsta that collaborate closely to create a safe, inclusive, and developmental learning environment for all students. At these schools, students are met by dedicated staff who work together to ensure every student feels seen, safe, and given the best possible conditions to succeed. The operations are characterized by collaboration, knowledge, study environment, and respect, with a focus on strengthening students' desire to learn and develop based on their own prerequisites.

Job Responsibilities

As a school librarian, your task is to make the school library accessible to students and staff. You are also tasked with collaborating with educators to create classroom-oriented activities that stimulate reading development and linguistic skills, as well as building students' media and information literacy.

You have a special responsibility to strengthen the school's reading culture and promote students' reading motivation in collaboration with the school leadership and staff. You are expected to meet the needs of different students, collaborate with various professional groups at the school, and constantly strive to improve operations within the framework of the school's systematic quality work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent. You are constructive and think based on the school's prerequisites and needs. You see the value in and have strategies for creating good relationships with both students and staff. You are cooperative and find flat-hierarchy common paths forward. You can both keep focus on long-term strategic goals and solve situations in a stressful everyday life. Above all, we are looking for you who are driven by the ability to positively influence every young person's life.
