Birger Jarls Gymnasium is looking for a long-term substitute teacher in Swedish and Spanish due to parental leave. The position runs from August 11, 2026, to June 2027, and is full-time.

About the position

We are seeking a certified teacher qualified to teach Swedish and Spanish at the upper secondary level. We would prefer that you have a couple of years of work experience, preferably in upper secondary education.

The employment type is a holiday cover position, and the role also includes mentorship duties, shared with another mentor in one of the classes you teach.

About the school:

Birger Jarls Gymnasium in Stockholm opened in the autumn of 2018. The school currently has just under 300 students.

The school offers two university-preparatory programs:

• The Business Programme with specializations in Economics and Law.
• The Social Sciences Programme with specializations in Social Sciences, as well as Media and Behavior.
