Tyresö Gymnasium is a school that places knowledge, security, and hope for the future at the center. Our vision is to give every student the tools they need to reach their full potential, regardless of their starting point. As a school, we are in an expansive and exciting period where much is happening and developing. In the autumn of 2025, the social sciences and economics programs were restarted with good application numbers. In addition, the school offers vocational programs, introductory programs, special educational needs activities, and an adapted upper secondary school. The breadth of programs leads to a wonderful and dynamic atmosphere! Tyresö Gymnasium has many dedicated teachers and is perceived as calm and safe by both teachers and students.

About the position

As Tyresö Gymnasium grows, we are now looking for an engaged teacher in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language who wants to be part of our development journey. In this role, you will have an stimulating and varied assignment where you are responsible for planning and conducting teaching that strengthens students' language skills and literary understanding. You will work with students from different programs and with varying backgrounds, which requires teaching that is both inclusive and challenging. A central part of the job involves creating a safe learning environment where language serves as a key to both knowledge and civic engagement. The position also includes mentorship and close collaboration with your colleagues in the work team, where you together drive pedagogical development forward to ensure the highest possible quality in education.

This is a permanent position at 100% with a desired start date of August 10, 2026. The position is a holiday relief position.

The position is filled subject to it not being needed for internal reassignments.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a certified upper secondary school teacher with qualifications in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language. As a person, you are a secure and inspiring leader in the classroom who has a special ability to meet each student where they are in their language development. You possess high pedagogical and didactic competence, which enables you to adapt your teaching so that it becomes accessible and engaging for everyone. You thrive in an environment characterized by growth and change, and you see collaboration with colleagues and the student health team as a given to create the best possible conditions for student success. You are good at building good relationships, both with students and staff.
