ABOUT THE ROLE:

We at Friday are looking for a Quality Engineer for our client in Gothenburg. In this role, you will have the opportunity to take significant ownership, where you will analyze quality issues and conduct root cause analyses. Furthermore, you will structure and analyze data and statistics. Your work will vary between quick operational decisions and long-term improvements. Some design work may occur in the role, but it is not your primary area of responsibility.

As a Quality Engineer, travel occurs approximately 1-2 times per quarter with varying lengths of stay; in some periods, there may be more or fewer trips. This means that you, as a candidate, are flexible and thrive in a changing environment. During these trips, you will visit the company's suppliers and evaluate both product quality and the work performed at the supplier's site. In connection with this, you will prepare documentation and recommendations to make the right decisions moving forward.

Examples of responsibilities:

• Travel to suppliers to participate in initial evaluations, production start-ups, and final inspections.
• Conduct root cause analyses and propose suitable actions moving forward.
• Create clear and useful quality reports.
• Drive processes for quality follow-up.
• Drive improvement work together with internal stakeholders and the factories.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

• Have a university degree in Automation and Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field.
• Have 3-5 years of work experience in quality, for example as a Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, or similar.
• Are available to travel 1-2 times per quarter.
• Have experience working with SolidWorks or other similar CAD tools.
• Have experience working in Excel or other tools for structuring data.
• Have a valid driver's license (Category B).
• Speak and write fluent Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily internal and external communication.

It is not necessary, but meritorious if you have:

• Knowledge of software development.
• Experience in developing quality management systems.
• Experience in evaluating the quality of textiles and/or steel.
