For the academic year 2026–2027, we are looking for you who

• Hold a special needs teacher degree with a specialization in intellectual disability for adapted upper secondary education.
• Are a licensed teacher in the subjects of entrepreneurship, service and hospitality, information and communication, food and retail, hotel management, and cleaning services. Experience in physical education and health, as well as English, is a plus.
• Are a highly committed person who easily builds good relationships with both students and staff.
• Are unpretentious, curious, solution-focused, possess strong pedagogical skills, and are driven by what can be achieved through collegial learning and shared ideas on teaching.
• Put students at the center, are passionate about your job, and have a great sense of humor.

The position is a one-year fixed-term contract. The role is 60% full-time.

Vackstanäsgymnasiet is a non-profit, independent upper secondary school with boarding facilities. The school operates as a foundation with board members from the Fredrika Bremer Association and the Hushållningssällskapet (Household Society). The school is beautifully located in nature, in the triangle between Järna, Nykvarn, and Södertälje, by Lake Vällingen.

We have approximately 275 students enrolled in the Child and Youth Care program, Leisure and Health, the Restaurant and Food program (Chef, Baker/Pastry Chef), the Nature Management program (Gardening, including a Nature Guide profile), the Arts program with a focus on Visual Arts and Design (Textile Design profile), as well as Property and Construction. On our adapted upper secondary school, we also offer the Hotel, Restaurant, and Bakery program.

Sustainability is important to us. We work purposefully with the environment, social climate, and economy. For example, we grow much of our own vegetables, have a clear program to create community for both students and staff, and are members of the National Association of Idealistic Schools.

Due to the school's geographical location, you will need your own car to commute to and from work.
