The Labor Market Unit/Adult Education (Komvux) Värmdö is seeking an Activity Leader for work with activity requirements for recipients of social assistance

Job Description:

As an Activity Leader, you work with planning, organizing, and conducting group-based activities that complement the participants' individual planning towards work or studies. The role involves varied and pedagogical work where you meet people with different backgrounds and prerequisites.

You are responsible for creating an inclusive and inspiring learning environment where participants have the opportunity to strengthen their self-esteem, develop social skills, and increase their understanding of the labor market's demands and expectations.

The position is a fixed-term employment at 100% with the possibility of extension. Start date: September 1, 2026.

The assignment includes among other things:

  • planning and leading group activities focusing on, for example, health, motivation, CV writing, and labor market knowledge
  • monitoring participants' engagement and progress and providing feedback to the responsible labor market counselor
  • developing course and activity materials for group and individual interventions
  • working closely with the municipality's labor market counselors to ensure that interventions are relevant, coordinated, and developmental for the participant

Your Experience

Requirements:

We are looking for you who have completed a relevant post-secondary education, for example, in study and career guidance, social work, or other post-secondary education that the employer considers equivalent.

You have experience in leading groups and creating participation.

The role requires that you can create engagement and motivation among participants, even among people who are far from work or studies due to, for example, illness, language barriers, or neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF).

The role also requires good digital competence as parts of the work take place through hybrid teaching and digital tools. You have high integrity and a good understanding of confidentiality in the work.

Merits:

  • previous experience from work focusing on progression towards self-sufficiency and labor market measures
  • experience of change management
  • experience of motivational interviewing – MI – Motivational Interviewing
  • good labor market knowledge
  • very good digital competence
  • experience of follow-up and documentation
