For the autumn of 2026, we are looking for you who

Hold a special education teacher degree focused on intellectual disability for the adapted upper secondary program. You are a licensed teacher in the subjects of Home and Consumer Studies, Food and Business Knowledge, Aesthetic Activities, and Cleaning. You are responsible for arranging workplace-based learning (APL) for students in the Property and Construction program and conducting tripartite meetings. This role covers 60% of a full-time position.

You are willing to serve as a teaching resource in practical courses related to baking and cooking within the Hotel, Restaurant, and Bakery program at the adapted upper secondary school. You are also responsible for contact with the taxi service. This role covers a total of 40%.

You are a highly engaged person who easily builds good relationships with both students and staff. You are unpretentious, curious, solution-focused, possess strong pedagogical skills, and are driven by what can be achieved through collegial learning and shared ideas regarding teaching. You put students at the center, are passionate about your job, and have a good sense of humor.

Vackstanäsgymnasiet is a non-profit, independent upper secondary school with boarding facilities. The school operates as a foundation with board members from the Fredrika Bremer Association and the Household Society. The school is beautifully located in nature, in the triangle between Järna, Nykvarn, and Södertälje, by Lake Vällingen.

We have approximately 275 students enrolled in the Child and Youth Sector Program, Leisure and Health, Restaurant and Food Program (Chef, Baker/Confectioner), Nature Management Program (Gardening with a Nature Guide profile), Aesthetic Program (Art and Design with a Textile Design profile), as well as Property and Construction and Hotel, Restaurant, and Bakery programs at the adapted upper secondary school.

Sustainability is important to us. We work purposefully with the environment, social climate, and economy. For example, we grow much of our own vegetables, have a clear program for creating community for both students and staff, and are members of the National Association of Idea-Driven Schools.
