Workplace Description

S:t Eriks Gymnasium is a large upper secondary school located on Kungsholmen in central Stockholm. Here, there is an exciting mix of university-preparatory programs and vocational programs where creativity and knowledge are at the center.

The school has a diversity of educations, activities, nationalities, and languages, making it a fun and stimulating workplace for both students and staff.

We train for professions within automation, electrical engineering, fine woodworking, floristry, hairdressing, design, and sewing.

We prepare for university through the Arts Programme's painting and design, animation, film and directing, event technology, music, musicals and theater, the Natural Science Programme, and the Social Science Programme's media, information and communication as well as social sciences. We also have adult education and the National Gymnasium for People with Physical Disabilities (RGRH). The school's premises also house Polhem's adapted upper secondary school.

Job Description

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher with the qualifications to teach visual arts subjects.

You are a positive person and have a passion for your profession, seeing collaboration with teachers in visual arts and school-wide subjects as a given. We would appreciate it if you have experience teaching on the Arts Programme with a focus on painting and design.

We strive for high artistic quality, taking into account the students' age, knowledge level, and the resources available at the school.

You take initiative and structure tasks through planning and prioritization while meeting deadlines. You handle varying tasks with periods of high workload and pace.

At S:t Eriks Gymnasium, we want you to have the ability to build good relationships with students and colleagues, as well as adapt your teaching to the students' needs and prerequisites.

You will be a mentor and responsible for your mentees' study situation and knowledge development, and you will be part of a work team and subject team.

You work independently and in teams, and are solution-oriented. You communicate clearly and have excellent knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
