We at Friday are currently looking for a Quality Engineer for our client in Gothenburg. In this role, you will have the opportunity to take significant ownership, analyzing quality issues and conducting root cause analyses. Furthermore, you will structure and analyze data and statistics. Your work will vary between quick operational decisions and long-term improvements. Some design work may occur in the position, but it is not your primary area of responsibility.

As a Quality Engineer, travel occurs approximately 1–2 times per quarter with varying lengths per trip. In some periods, there may be more or fewer trips, meaning that you as a candidate must be flexible and thrive in a changing environment. During these trips, you will visit the company's suppliers and evaluate both product quality and the work performed at the supplier's site. In connection with this, you will prepare documentation and recommendations to make informed decisions moving forward.

Examples of responsibilities:

• Travel to suppliers to participate in initial evaluations, production startups, and final inspections.
• Conduct root cause analyses and propose suitable actions for the future.
• Create clear and useful quality reports.
• Drive processes for quality monitoring.
• Lead improvement work together with internal stakeholders and factories.

• Have a university degree in Automation and Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field.
• Have 3–5 years of work experience in quality, for example as a Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, or similar.
• Are able to travel 1–2 times per quarter.
• Have experience working with Solidworks or other similar CAD tools.
• Have experience working in Excel or other tools for data structuring.
• Hold a valid driver's license (Category B).
• Speak and write fluently in Swedish and English, as both languages are used internally and externally in daily work.

Not required, but advantageous if you have:

• Knowledge of software development.
• Experience developing quality management systems.
• Experience evaluating the quality of textiles and/or steel.
