We are now looking for a Ward Coordinator with an extended role at the psychiatric emergency unit and inpatient care. This is a developing and varied assignment where you will play a key role in improving both patient flows and administrative processes within psychiatric inpatient care. The position involves standard office hours and a flexible work agreement.

Job Description

As a Ward Coordinator, you are a central function in the operation – a "spider in the web" responsible for creating an efficient and patient-safe flow through the care system.

Your assignment includes coordinating beds and patient flows, as well as administrative and economic tasks related to the operation.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and driving work regarding beds and patient flows within inpatient care.
• Actively planning patient inflow in dialogue with the emergency unit, on-call lines, department physicians, and unit managers.
• Participating in meetings and contributing to ensuring the correct level of care and patient-safe care.
• Working proactively and identifying areas for improvement in flows and working methods.
• Working clinically or with operational development if needed.

Extended responsibility within administration and economy:

• Participate in work with invoice basis related to, for example, RF (Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare regulations) and LVM (Care of Abusers of Intoxicants Act), including understanding of care flows and billing.
• Contribute to structure, routines, and development within the assignment.

The role involves a combination of operational work close to patient care and a more structuring and developmental responsibility.

Work Group

Among our colleagues are doctors, nurses, psychologists, care assistants, social workers, occupational therapists, dietitians, and healthcare administrators.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Is educated as an assistant nurse, care assistant, or nurse.
• Has experience working in psychiatry or addiction care.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience in coordinating roles or ward work.
• Familiarity with administrative systems and economy-related tasks.
• Understanding of care flows and compensation systems.
