We are looking for skilled and engaged employees for our administration. The Service Administration contributes to a better everyday life for the municipality's residents and operations with services within, among other things, meals, contact center, vehicles, and office services. Meal Falkenberg has approx. 65 kitchens, of which 30 are production kitchens and the rest are receiving kitchens. We are around 160 employees, and we cook for schools, preschools, and high schools, as well as users within elder care and home help. Our kitchens prepare a total of approx. 7,000 lunch portions/day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you passionate about service and putting the guest at the center? Then the position as a kitchen assistant at Furubacken Preschool's kitchen is something for you.

Here, breakfast, today's lunch, and snacks are served to the preschool's children and staff. The food is prepared in Furugården's nursing home kitchen, and the position is also based at Furugården's kitchen.

As a kitchen assistant, you have many different tasks such as preparing breakfast and snacks, composing and preparing today's salad buffet, baking bread, serving the preschool, washing dishes, serving during opening hours, handling self-control, and kitchen cleaning. Diet cooking may occasionally occur in the position.

You contribute to the food arriving on time and with the right quality, focus on positive interaction, contribute to a good work environment, are involved in the operation functioning, promote good cooperation between the kitchen and preschool, and contribute to the unit's development. Sustainability and reduced food waste are things we work with daily, think are very important, and we therefore see that you are inventive, rational, and flexible.

During holidays and other occasions, placement in the kitchen may change to a kitchen in the immediate area.

QUALIFICATIONS

You preferably have a restaurant education at the upper secondary level or similar, as well as experience of work, preferably in a kitchen. Food and cooking are close to your heart, and you share our opinion that the meal is an important part of everyday life.

Basic knowledge of special diets is a prerequisite. As a person, you are responsible, take own initiatives, have the ability to be flexible, and deliver good quality at a high pace. Providing good service and a good interaction is a matter of course for you and very important to us.

Computer skills are good, which is required as you register your own absence in Personec and take part of information on our website and in our home catalog. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish Food Agency's hygiene regulations and recommendations and be familiar with HACCP. Your ability to understand and use the Swedish language, both orally and in writing, is very good. The job places demands on good physical fitness in the form of strength, endurance, and mobility, and we therefore believe that you keep yourself healthy through some form of exercise and a healthy lifestyle.
