About Us

Welcome to Herrestad Health Centre! We are an established health centre with approximately 10,000 registered patients. Here you will encounter a varied daily routine where residents seek our help in all situations – from acute illnesses to chronic conditions, and from children to the elderly. At our centre, district nurses, district physicians, medical secretaries, and nursing assistants work together. We also have several employees who conduct part-time research, demonstrating our strong interest in development. We work in teams where all professions are represented, and we have access to a counselor, psychotherapist, psychologist, and rehabilitation coordinator in our psychosocial team.

About the Job

Your duties at the health centre cover a broad field and include the area of general medicine where you meet patients of all ages and situations. You work in a health-promoting, advisory, and treatment capacity in primary care, both via phone, home visits, digital healthcare meetings, and at the clinic.

The work involves both emergency and planned operations. You work largely independently with your own clinic where you triage, treat, and follow up with patients. Close collaboration occurs with your colleagues at the unit and cross-professionally within the team. Collaboration also takes place with other actors such as home healthcare and other specialist care. Together with the health centre management, you and your colleagues are responsible for developing and driving the operations forward. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission; therefore, supervising students is also included as part of your role at the health centre.

About You

You are a registered nurse. It is an advantage if you have experience working in regional primary care and/or have completed a 7.5 ECTS supervisor education, but we also welcome newly graduated candidates.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making independent decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize your tasks. In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you thrive in teamwork and that collaborating with colleagues and other contacts is second nature to you. You communicate well both verbally and in writing, and are an engaged and good listener during both digital meetings and clinic visits. We would appreciate it if you have an interest in digitalization and operational development.

Other Information

• The position is a fixed-term assignment starting in September and lasting for 12 months, with good opportunities for extension.
• Interviews at the health centre will be held on Monday, June 15th, and Wednesday, June 17th.

About the Recruitment Process

Selection takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who invite candidates to a phone interview. Thereafter, the hiring manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them to an interview at the health centre.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that answers to questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalized answers – this is so that we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the result was.
