The Education Department is responsible for preschools, after-school centers, comprehensive schools, upper secondary schools, as well as adapted comprehensive and upper secondary schools. The Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who is passionate about Natural Sciences (NO) and driven by subject development. You are keen on staying updated as a teacher and in your subjects through environmental monitoring and further education. Your assignment involves teaching Natural Sciences in grades 7–9, along with related tasks such as preparatory and follow-up work for lessons, as well as grading. You will be part of a work team and participate in the team's joint efforts. You will actively participate in the school's values-based work and work inclusively. Mentoring is a central part of your role, involving social contact with students and classes, communication with guardians, absence management, development conferences, and cooperation with authorities and social services. In your role, you collaborate with the student health team. You are expected to be able to work with digital tools in your teaching.

Trädgårdsstadsskolan is a preschool-to-grade 9 school with approximately 680 students, located in Tullinge, Botkyrka Municipality. The school is built in modules with workrooms in close proximity to classrooms and recreation areas, providing excellent conditions for building good relationships with students. You Who Apply to Us

Requirements:

• Teacher certification with eligibility to teach Natural Sciences in grades 7–9.
• Previous experience working in grades 7–9 with mentoring responsibilities.
• Documented strong subject knowledge.
• Good teamwork skills and a professional attitude – you enjoy working in teams and contributing to the school's joint development.
• Very good language skills in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing. A language test will be conducted according to Botkyrka Municipality's guidelines.

Merits:

• Eligibility in an additional subject, preferably Technology.
• Experience in teaching in comprehensive schools, where you adapt teaching to students' different needs.
• Competence in digital tools and learning platforms, such as V-Klass, Google Classroom, or similar.
• Education or experience in NO-related projects.

As a person, you are interested in staying updated and are at the forefront in your subjects. You are passionate about school development and driven by seeing students achieve good results. You are relationship-building and team-oriented to ensure the needs of the individual and the organization are met. You also need to be structured to deliver high-quality teaching.
