We are looking for you who want to work together with a driven and engaged team to create the best possible conditions for our students! We are currently seeking a teacher in Home Economics for grades 6–9.

Alneskolan is located at the top of a residential area in Bonäset, with nature right at your doorstep. The school is situated approximately 4 kilometers from the center of Örnsköldsvik. Surrounding the school are forest trails, wind shelters, and a lit jogging track. From Järvedsvägen, you can quickly reach the school via "Slinger," a footpath through the forest that gets your heart pumping!

In addition to students from preschool class up to grade 9, the school also has three after-school centers and seven preschool departments. The school is led by two principals and one preschool director.

Responsibilities

You will teach Home Economics, including the associated documentation and contacts. The role also includes mentorship. You will work in a team to plan, implement, and follow up on teaching, as well as participate in the school's systematic quality work. Contact and collaboration with guardians is an important part of the job.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a teaching degree and subject competency in Home Economics. If you have other qualifications, you are welcome to apply; however, any employment would be time-limited based on certification requirements.

You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create structure, coherence, and good relationships. We would appreciate experience in leading group processes and adapting teaching to the needs of the group and individuals.

During the interview process, we will conduct identity checks and verify citizenship. Accepted documents include a passport, international ID card, driver's license plus a personal registration certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency, or another ID document that strengthens proof of citizenship. For some positions, an extract from the Police Register of Suspicions and Convictions is required. We welcome proficiency in Finnish and/or Sami, as the Municipality of Örnsköldsvik is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas. Some positions are security-classified, which may require a security clearance and Swedish citizenship.
