Are you a trained assistant nurse (undersköterska) and want to make life easier for other people in their own homes? Do you thrive in a mobile job with varied tasks? Then a position within home care might be right for you!

We are currently looking for a new employee for Cura Home Care. The unit serves people with dementia. Cura Home Care is a small team consisting of eight assistant nurses, all of whom have an interest and commitment to working with people with dementia. To create security and continuity for our users, the team is divided into two groups. This provides the conditions for person-centered work. We assist users throughout Lidköping Municipality.

Job Responsibilities

As an assistant nurse with us, you will provide support, service, and care adapted to the user's needs. This may include social support, household chores, help with hygiene, walks, administering medication, or other delegated tasks. How your workday looks is determined by the users' needs, and you work from an activating approach.

In your role as a dedicated care contact for one or more users, you are the one who builds a secure and sustainable relationship between colleagues, your users, and their relatives. As a dedicated care contact, you are responsible for creating, following up on, and revising implementation plans. Ongoing documentation is part of your work.

You naturally work independently but also actively collaborate in a team. Everyone in the team cooperates based on their competence and a holistic view of the user.

Qualifications

• For this position, we are looking for you who have completed and passed a care and nursing education. For employment, you must attach certificates in your application that prove your eligibility as an assistant nurse, along with certificates in Swedish 1 or equivalent at the upper secondary level.
• You have the ability to create security and to meet and understand the user's needs. It is natural for you to have a professional attitude in your work, feel secure in your professional role, and be receptive. You have a positive attitude and take responsibility for contributing to a positive work climate and your own development.
• Since social documentation and communication are important in your work, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish and good computer skills.
• You must have a Category B driver's license.

Merits

• Previous experience and/or advanced knowledge and education in the field of dementia, e.g., YH Dementia, is meritorious.

Conditions

• We are looking for an assistant nurse for a permanent position with start date as agreed.
• The employer offers full-time work, but there is an opportunity for the desired degree of employment.
• You will work scheduled hours such as day, evening, and weekend. We work 50% of weekends.
• Your primary workplace will be the Cura Home Care unit, but you are employed by Lidköping Municipality as a whole, so work at other units may occur.

Extract from the Criminal Record

Before offering employment, you as a candidate are required to show an extract from the criminal record when working in any of the following areas: school or preschool, work with children in other activities than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS, work at or in connection with HVB homes (care homes), work with the elderly or people with disabilities.
