Alne School is located at the top of the Bonäset residential area, surrounded by a beautiful natural environment with windbreaks and a lit jogging track. The school is situated approximately 4 kilometers from the center of Örnsköldsvik. From Järvedsvägen, you can quickly reach the school via "Slinger", a walking path through the forest that gets your heart pumping!

Alne School offers education for students from preschool class up to grade 9, as well as three after-school centers and seven preschool departments. The school is led by three principals.

Responsibilities

You will work together with a team of competent and driven colleagues. Your main responsibilities include teaching mathematics, Natural Sciences (NO), and Technology in grades 7 and 9. The position also includes mentorship, as well as the documentation and contacts required by the role.

A key part of the job is collaborating with colleagues and building and maintaining good relationships with guardians. The position is 80%.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a teaching degree and subject competency in mathematics, Natural Sciences (NO), and Technology for grades 7–9.

You should have clear and strong leadership in the classroom, a wide range of pedagogical tools, and a well-developed formative approach to teaching. You create clarity in your teaching with a focus on structure, context, and good relationships. You have the ability to adapt teaching to the needs of groups and individuals. Experience in leading group processes is a plus.

Even if you have qualifications other than a certified primary school teacher, you are welcome to apply. However, if hired, the position will be fixed-term based on the certification requirements for permanent employment.

The position is a permanent part-time employment at 80%.

Interview and Security Check
In connection with the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Accepted documents are a passport, international ID card, driver's license plus personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency, or another ID document that strengthens citizenship. For some positions, an extract from the police's suspicion and criminal record register is required.

We welcome language skills in Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas.

Since a number of positions in our municipality are placed in security classes, security clearance may be required. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
