Two permanent positions available at Kastellskolan. We are now looking for two dedicated and certified primary school teachers in Swedish, English, and Social Studies (SO) for teaching in our upper secondary level (grades 7-9). Mentoring duties may be included, as well as teaching in grade 6. We would appreciate if the applicant has good knowledge of ICT. You have the ability to follow and assess the student's development of knowledge and skills in a varied way and, in collaboration with the student, develop these.
Kastellskolan has a good location on Kristinagatan in Härnösand. The school, with approximately 250 children and students, including an associated after-school center, has been in operation since the academic year 2003-2004, and our preschool operations opened during the academic year 2006-2007. We have one class in each grade, which means we have approximately 75 students in our upper secondary level. We offer a red thread in learning for children from one to sixteen years old. We are the small school with big opportunities.
The school has four work teams; preschool, after-school center, grades F-6, and grades 7-9. Kastellskolan, which is a non-profit private school, has approximately 45 employees. The school is run as a non-profit association and is led by a board as well as by the school management, which consists of the principal who is also the school director, an assistant principal who is also the principal for the preschool, and four work team leaders. Current projects with us right now are the SIS project Increased competence for higher goal fulfillment among students with disabilities, which we started in autumn 2026, as well as Erasmus+, which gives staff the opportunity to receive further training or job shadowing at various schools around Europe, and gives students the opportunity for school exchanges with students at schools in other countries in Europe.
We warmly welcome your application! Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis, and the positions will be filled if necessary decisions are made.
