About Us

Regionhälsan's pediatric speech therapy service in Gothenburg is now being strengthened to provide children in the Västra Götaland Region, who have waited a long time for speech therapy intervention, with the help they need. The temporary clinic is located in Hisings Backa, in the same building as the Närhälsan Backa primary care center, and is part of the largest pediatric and adolescent speech therapy clinic within primary care located in Sisjön. Primary care speech therapy within the Västra Götaland Region currently operates in Gothenburg (Sisjön), Borås, Lidköping, and Trollhättan, and now also in Backa for a limited period.

About the Role

As a speech therapist with us, you will become an important part of a dedicated team working to increase accessibility and provide more children with the right support at the right time. Under the guidance of a team coordinator, you will see children and their parents for speech therapy assessments and interventions at the primary care level. You will primarily encounter children aged four to ten years with language and speech difficulties. The role includes investigating and assessing the children's needs, conducting treatments, and providing interventions that promote their communication skills. An important part of the job is also to support and guide parents so they can contribute to their children's linguistic development in everyday life.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed speech therapist and want to make a difference for children and their families. If you have previous experience working with children and adolescents in speech therapy, we consider this a merit.

As a person, you are service-oriented, solution-focused, and have a natural ability to collaborate. You always prioritize the patient's best interests and actively contribute to an open and inclusive work environment where children, parents, and colleagues feel welcome and safe.

Conditions

The position is fixed-term until the end of the year, with immediate start.
