Mechanical Designer - Växjö

Do you want to design technology that can be seen in railways around the world?

At our company, you work with the development and adaptation of production systems for concrete sleepers in international projects. The role starts with design – but evolves over time towards greater project management responsibility.

About the role

As a mechanical designer, you play a key role in the development and adaptation of our production solutions for international railway projects. You will juggle many threads simultaneously – design, schedules, manufacturing, suppliers, and collaboration with our factories.

The role initially has a clear focus on design, but will over time evolve towards a larger project management responsibility, where you drive technical deliveries, coordinate resources, and play a central role in our international projects.

About the office

Växjö

In Växjö, our office is located at Taptogränd 6 in the growing I11 area – close to both the city center, lunch spots, and everything happening in town. Here, just over 50 colleagues work in areas such as sales, project management, design, finance, purchasing, HR, and IT.

Who we are looking for

We believe you will thrive with us if you recognize yourself in the following:

• You are a person who values collaboration.
• You are solution-oriented and structured.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with industrial machinery, production systems, or heavy equipment
• Good knowledge of CAD (we use Inventor)
• Interest in developing towards a project management role
• Ability to work in an international environment with customer contact
• You speak and write Swedish and English.

Previous experience from the concrete industry is of course a plus – but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you want to be part of doing the job really well, together with us.

The position involves travel, and during installations, you may be away for up to 2-3 weeks at a time.
