Helenelundsskolan is a grades 1–9 school located in Southern Sollentuna. The school has just over 1,000 students and we have 120 employees. Helenelundsskolan's vision is: We develop the future, with the motto do good, be well, develop! You will land softly with us!

This is a permanent position at 60% starting in August 2026, with a possible opportunity for a higher percentage after the first school year.

Responsibilities

As an art teacher at Helenelundsskolan, you teach students in grades 4–6 and are responsible for planning and conducting teaching in close collaboration with the subject team and the working group for grade 5. You create creative and structured learning environments where students can develop their aesthetic abilities and forms of expression.

You are responsible for purchasing and inventory of materials within the framework of your own budget and ensure that teaching has the necessary resources. You plan together with colleagues and have the opportunity for joint assessment together with art teachers in the lower secondary school to create an equitable assessment.

The role also includes shared mentorship. You participate in working group meetings and subject team meetings and are an active part of the school's development work, where creativity, accessible learning, and collegial collaboration are at the center.

Qualifications

In the role of art teacher, we are looking for you who lead students' learning with security and commitment. You have clear leadership in the classroom and create an environment characterized by security, structure, and study quiet. You are independent and proactive and drive your work forward with both responsibility and creativity. At the same time, you are relationship-building and meet students with empathy and respect.

A structured working style and a broad holistic view help you plan and conduct teaching in a thoughtful way. The role also requires creativity and security in leading practical moments, as well as flexibility to meet students' different needs. You have a solution-oriented ability and thrive in a work team where teaching is developed together and where collaboration is one of the school's greatest strengths.

Requirements

• Teacher certification in art for lower secondary school (mellanstadiet)
