We are looking for a substitute teacher in textile crafts (textile arts) at Skanskvarnsskolan for the autumn term of 2026, with subject qualification for grades 3-9.

The school is growing, and for the academic year 2026/27, we are adding Grade 9, and the number of students in adapted basic education is increasing. We currently have 650 students in grades F-8 and approximately 100 employees.

The school has both newly renovated premises in the old, beautiful listed building (K-märkt), as well as newly built premises for school and after-school care, sports, kitchen, and school restaurant.

The craft halls are newly built and were put into use in spring 2024.

The school is located in a beautiful natural setting by Årstaviken bay and has easy access to good public transport connections at Gullmarsplan.

Your role

You teach the school's students in textile crafts. You plan, implement, evaluate, and develop the pedagogical work according to the curriculum and other governing documents. We strive for close collaboration between the craft teachers so that the students' knowledge development in relation to the goals has optimal conditions. Together, you work to ensure that all students thrive and develop based on their individual prerequisites.

We place great value on your commitment to the students, your pedagogical competence, and your ability to build good relationships and trust with the students.

Your skills and experience

We would prefer that you are a certified teacher with qualifications for grades 3-9. Experience teaching in adapted basic education is an advantage.

You have good knowledge of formative and digital learning processes and are keen on creating an accessible learning environment where your relational leadership and language- and knowledge-developing approach are in focus.

You have high expectations for and faith in that all students can achieve success, and you are aware of your own impact on the student's learning.
