Workplace Description

Welcome to Eriksdalsskolan's Adapted Primary School!

Knowledge. Safety. Joy.

Eriksdalsskolan is a preschool to grade 9 school on Södermalm, close to both the city's pulse and beautiful natural areas. The school is vibrant with approximately 970 students in grades preschool to 9. We have spacious and functional premises, a fantastic schoolyard with access to an artificial turf field, an ice rink, and Eriksdalsbadet in our immediate vicinity.

Eriksdalsskolan's Adapted Primary School is a unit for students with intellectual disabilities, often in combination with additional disabilities (e.g., autism spectrum disorder, physical motor impairments, ADHD). Our premises are adapted to accommodate students from all need groups.

The students at Eriksdalsskolan's Adapted Primary School are currently divided into 10 classes. The students study subjects and/or subject areas. Many students require their own educator by their side throughout the day, both during school hours and on the school playground. Students are taught both individually and in groups. We base our work on clear pedagogy together with other evidence-based methods to give our students the most favorable conditions for learning and development. The target group places high demands on pedagogical skill.

At Eriksdalsskolan's Adapted Primary School, approximately 50 employees with different backgrounds, competencies, and experience work together. We work in teams with the student's best interest always in focus.

The school leadership of Eriksdalsskolan consists of a principal, five deputy principals, and an administrative manager. The work at the school playground is led by a group manager.

At the school playground of Eriksdalsskolan's Adapted Primary School, the education is designed to complement preschool class and school. We have a holistic view of education where learning, development, and care are included. We continuously monitor the development of the students and the student group and use the results to develop the operations.
