Do you want to help build a safe, curious, and creative start for our youngest students? Drakskeppsskolan in Täby is now looking for an engaged and certified class teacher for one of our age-integrated F-1 classes.

Drakskeppsskolan is a municipal school within the Väggby principal's area, serving students from preschool class to year 5, as well as an after-school center. By next school year, we will have approximately 180 students. The school is just the right size: small enough for everyone to be seen, but large enough to provide colleagues to bounce ideas off and develop together with. Here, we actively work for high goal achievement and safety through accessible learning and thoughtful lesson design.

What you will do

In the role of class teacher in F-1, you create structure, study peace, and a desire to learn for students who have just stepped into the school world. You plan and conduct teaching that is both safely predictable and sufficiently challenging for students to develop.

You do not work alone; you collaborate closely with two parallel class teacher colleagues, and in the classroom, you work together with staff from the after-school center. You are also part of a work team and teaching team, and you collaborate with the student health team to ensure the student's entire study situation is covered.

Your main responsibilities:

• Plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching in Swedish, mathematics, English, Social Studies (SO), Natural Sciences (NO), Technology, and Art for F-1 students.

• Have overall responsibility for the group's social climate, study peace, and daily routines.

• Work in an age-integrated manner between F-1 and design differentiated teaching that meets all students based on their prerequisites.

• Use language-developing and formative working methods in all subjects to build a secure foundation in reading, writing, and mathematics.

• Create clear and accessible lessons through thoughtful lesson design.

• Maintain a close and professional dialogue with guardians.

• Collaborate with student health services as needed.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for you who believe that the youngest students deserve the most thoughtfully designed learning environments. You are confident in your role as a teacher, are a good organizer, and lead the work structurally towards the organization's goals. At the same time, you are flexible, solution-oriented, and have a positive attitude when reality does not quite follow the lesson plan.

Requirements for the position:

• Teacher certification with eligibility to teach in preschool class to year 3 in the requested subjects.

• Good knowledge of Swedish, mathematics, English, Social Studies (SO), Natural Sciences (NO), Technology, and Art for the early school years.

• Well-versed in the school's governing documents and the ability to translate these into understandable and meaningful learning for the students.

• Strong collaboration skills and an interest in contributing positively to the work team and the school's professional development.

It is meritorious if you have worked as a teacher for a few years and have specific experience with age-integrated groups in F-1. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
