WORK ASSIGNMENTS

As an Environmental Inspector, you are offered a varied job. You will work with many aspects of the Environmental Code, from supervision and permitting to information and advice. This means a lovely mix of fieldwork and office work.

The job also includes processing incoming cases of various kinds. You set requirements and make decisions in your role as a public authority, and the work involves significant personal responsibility and initiative.

Your duties also include preventive work in the form of, among other things, informative and collaborative assignments both externally and internally. Contact with the public, businesses, and other authorities is a large part of the daily work, which is why it is important that you have good communication skills and can express yourself clearly in both speech and writing.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have an academic degree related to the position that the employer considers relevant for the assignment. It is an advantage if you have worked with supervision regarding environmental protection or other work with the Environmental Code and the Administrative Procedure Act.

The work involves many contacts with business owners, which makes it important that you enjoy meeting people, engaging with their questions, and providing advice in connection with inspections. You need to be able to work independently, but on the unit, we support each other in various matters, collaborate, and have an egalitarian approach to one another. Therefore, it is important that you are flexible and adaptable.
