We are looking for an Environmental Engineer who wants to drive environmental work in an industry facing major changes. As part of our environmental team, you will work closely with the organization and contribute specialist expertise in the environmental field. Location: Luleå.

As an Environmental Engineer, you will belong to the Business Development department, Environmental Section, where you will become part of a team working closely with operations on both operational and strategic environmental issues. We are responsible for permit and notification cases and continuously work to develop and improve the company's environmental performance and compliance with environmental legislation.

In this role, you will work broadly within the environmental field, from monitoring, analysis, and reporting to investigations and support in ongoing projects and change initiatives. You will collaborate with various parts of the organization and contribute specialist expertise in matters concerning the environment and sustainable development. The role also includes work with contaminated sites, where you will contribute to investigations, risk assessments, and action planning.

Your main responsibilities

  • Support the line organization with specialist environmental expertise
  • Manage permit and notification cases
  • Participate as an expert in projects
  • Responsible for monitoring, analysis, calculations, and reporting
  • Initiate and drive investigations within the environmental field
  • Handle and support the investigation of deviations and incidents
  • Contribute to the development of working methods and management within the environmental field

About you

  • Relevant university education in environmental science, chemistry, or similar
  • Experience in environmental-related work, preferably from industry and/or consultancy roles
  • Good knowledge of environmental legislation and permit processes
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experienced in working both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
