About the workplace

You will belong to the Environmental and Health Protection department, one of the five departments within the Community Development division. We work on behalf of the Environmental and Supervisory Board, conducting supervision within food, alcohol, tobacco, as well as environmental and health protection.

We have made significant progress in the digitalization of cases, processing, and supervision – as part of strengthening accessibility, legal certainty, and equal treatment. Our operational systems are Ecos and Alk-T.

About the position

We offer a varied and meaningful job where you will primarily work with supervision within food and tobacco. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to broaden your competence and, if needed, contribute to and strengthen the work within alcohol supervision.

The work involves planning and conducting inspections, following up on deviations, and providing information and advice to business operators. You have independent responsibility for supervision and the development of operations while collaborating closely with colleagues in the team. Therefore, previous experience in regulatory authority work is advantageous.

The work is characterized by dialogue with business operators and the public, and you contribute to safe food handling and a secure environment for the municipality's residents. The role therefore requires good communication skills and a structured approach to work.

We are looking for you who

• Have a relevant university degree, for example in food, environmental and health protection, or other education considered equivalent
• Have experience of supervision or control work in relevant areas
• Are confident in the role of a regulatory authority and have the ability to make objective and factual assessments
• Are accustomed to navigating legislation
• Can express yourself well in speech and writing and have good digital skills

As a person, you are service-oriented, communicative, and trust-building. You meet business operators, colleagues, and citizens with clarity, respect, and professionalism. You enjoy working both independently and together with others, have good structure, and can plan and prioritize your work.
