Teacher in Care and Nursing

Drottning Blankas Gymnasieskola in Jakobsberg offers both vocational and university-preparatory education. The school has approximately 300 students and 30 employees.

We are looking for

We are looking for a licensed vocational teacher with qualifications in care and nursing. You have experience with, or a genuine interest in, teaching at the upper secondary level and thrive on creating engagement and meaning for the students. You hold a teaching license with the right to teach within the care and nursing field.

Your assignment

The position involves planning, conducting, and evaluating teaching in the courses included in the assignment. You work based on current steering documents and adapt the teaching to the students' conditions and needs. The position also includes class mentoring, visits to students' workplace learning (APL) placements, and a special coordination responsibility for the school's certification work within the Care and Nursing College, in close collaboration with the principal. You are part of the subject group for care and nursing as well as a practical working group.

Your profile

We are looking for you with a strong commitment to teaching and student development. You have the ability to build good relationships, are sensitive to students' needs, and wish to contribute to their learning and future professional life within care and nursing. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues, are open to developing your teaching, and actively participate in collegial learning. Experience in quality work or collaboration with the industry, e.g., within the framework of the Care and Nursing College, is an advantage.
