Welcome to Söderholmsskolan

Söderholmsskolan – a school with heart – is a municipal primary school located in Vårberg, beautifully situated a stone's throw from the shore of Lake Mälaren and within walking distance to Vårberg Center. The school is safe and pleasant, with approximately 360 students from preschool class to grade 6. At Söderholmsskolan, approximately 60 employees work in various work teams. The staff in all school operations show great commitment and skill; they see opportunities and contribute to the school's positive development. The school's vision – a school with heart – permeates the entire operation and contributes to a workplace where people enjoy working, with much laughter and strong cohesion.

The school's organization is based on annual work teams in grades F–3 with integrated after-school care, a work team for the intermediate school, and a work team consisting of our practical-esthetic teachers. The after-school care staff are also part of the F–3 work teams and contribute to the students' development and learning through collaboration. The school has an open after-school activity program for students in grades 4–6. At Söderholmsskolan, every student should receive a high-quality education that gives them knowledge for life, a desire, and the opportunity to influence their own future.

Your Role

You will teach art in grades 3–6. You will be part of a work team where you collaborate with colleagues and are an important part of collegial learning to create new and in-depth knowledge.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, teaching, documentation, assessment, and evaluation of the classes you teach.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have teacher certification in art.

As a teacher, it is important that you:

• have clear leadership skills and the ability to create a safe learning environment characterized by study focus and a passion for learning
• have an understanding of the role and good relationships with colleagues, students, and their guardians
• in your role, you care that the teaching maintains high quality and plan your work efficiently
• have a strong interest in your subject and continuously maintain your knowledge

You are a secure and stable person with self-awareness. You are motivated by collaboration and creating good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You communicate clearly and have a good understanding of people's different prerequisites for absorbing knowledge. You plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for you who have high expectations for students' goal achievement, good pedagogical insight, and are clear and engaged to bring out the best in students. You who apply:

• are a certified teacher with qualifications in the subject of art
• have documented experience in the teaching profession
• have experience with digital working methods as an enhancement in teaching

You have a good ability to design teaching in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results and needs, and structure and adapt your teaching so that a safe and adequate learning environment is created. You involve the student in the planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others.

You are secure, stable, have self-awareness, and are a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for collaboration and create good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure as well as other tasks included in your role efficiently.
