The Care and Social Services Department is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health and medical care, authority activities, ordering of services, and provides care and social services in its own operations. Your responsibilities

We are expanding! The operation is currently in a development phase and has increased by approximately 700 new home care hours, which means we need to strengthen the work group with more dedicated employees. With us, you will have the opportunity to be part of a growing operation where your work makes a big difference for both users and colleagues.

As a care assistant or assistant nurse at Hjälmsäter Home Care, you work closely with users in their homes and provide support and care based on individual needs according to IBIC. The day starts together with colleagues with reporting and planning, and then you work according to your planned route.

The work consists of personal care, service interventions, and medical tasks on delegation. You are attentive to changes in users' health status and engage in dialogue with colleagues if adjustments to the plan are needed. No day is the same as the other, which requires flexibility and the ability to meet different needs in everyday life.

The work often involves you working independently in the user's home. At the same time, there is always support from colleagues, coordinators, and managers. The mobile phone is an important work tool and is used, among other things, for planning, documentation, and keyless home care.

Your workplace

Hjälmsäter Home Care has its staff base at Hjälmsätersgatan 12, in a residential area with good bus connections and about a 15–20 minute walk from Linköping city center.

The operation provides only home care. The area is large but clearly defined, and the work takes place in fixed routes within a limited part of the area. This creates continuity for users and good opportunities to build relationships and notice changes at an early stage.

You will become part of an experienced and stable work group with about 20 colleagues of mixed ages. The work group is described as supportive and tight-knit, and there is good experience in introducing new employees.

The introduction is structured and includes both digital elements and several introduction sessions together with an experienced supervisor. The delegation process is an important part of the introduction.

You who apply

We are looking for you who have a completed upper secondary education. It is meritorious if you are trained as an assistant nurse or specialist assistant nurse.

It is also meritorious if you have experience of working in care, support, and social services.

You communicate clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing, have good computer skills, and can cycle as the work takes place within a larger geographical area.

To thrive in the role, you need to be independent and take responsibility for your tasks. You collaborate well with others and contribute to a good work climate. You have an empathetic ability and can put yourself in the users' situation and needs. At the same time, you are clear in your communication and ensure that information reaches both users and colleagues.
