About Us

Närhälsan Munkedal Health Centre is a well-functioning clinic with a stable staff group caring for approximately 8,500 registered patients. At the health centre, five district doctors, four training doctors, one licensed doctor, as well as nurses, district nurses, assistant nurses, rehabilitation coordinators, care coordinators, medical secretaries, foot care specialists, and psychologists work. We also have Child Health Services (CHS) at the Family Centre. Our centre also houses the Young Mental Health unit, which involves teamwork with a psychologist, psychotherapist, and counsellor targeting children aged 6–17 with mental health issues.

Our building also houses a youth clinic and the Närhälsan rehabilitation clinic, with whom we collaborate closely. We continuously work on improvement projects both in clinical practice and to maintain a good working environment where we care for each other, thrive, and develop. About the Role

Your duties at the health centre cover a broad field and include general medical competence with patients of all ages and situations. You work independently and with variety in clinic duties. Guidance is provided by an experienced specialist who offers you support and knowledge exchange. We offer you varied work with good development opportunities. If you are interested in free and varied work with the patient where your and your colleagues' working environment is in focus, this job is for you.

About You

You are a licensed doctor with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare and have an interest in primary care and general medicine.

We are looking for someone who is sensitive and has a good approach to people, as you will meet many different patients at the health centre in your work. You thrive in teamwork, and it is natural for you to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in the work. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.

The position is a fixed-term appointment of 6 months, with possible extension and specialist training (ST) opportunities.

For those who have trained as doctors abroad and have not completed the compulsory internship (AT) in Sweden to obtain a medical license, the new regulations regarding Basic Service (Bastjänstgöring) from July 1, 2021, apply. Basic Service for Doctors (BT) is a mandatory introductory part of specialist training under the new regulation ST-2021 (HSLF-FS 2021:8). This means you need to complete BT before or as an introductory part of your ST.
