Psychiatric Care Stockholm is a newly established unit within the Stockholm County Council healthcare area. Here we gather care for patients over 18 years old with psychotic illness into one organizational unit. We offer assessment, investigation, and treatment according to national guidelines and regional care programs. Within Psychiatric Care Stockholm, we conduct development work, education, and research regarding psychotic illness. We work in multidisciplinary teams to provide the best possible care and treatment around the patient.
Description
We are now looking for a nurse who wants to help shape the future of psychiatric care.
The Psychosis Unit in Södertälje strives for high flexibility, accessibility, and individualized interventions. We offer clinic visits and home visits when needed.
Here, nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries work together to offer support and care to patients with psychotic illnesses during their rehabilitation. The unit has two psychosis teams offering treatment to patients with chronic psychotic illness, as well as a team specifically focused on receiving patients with first-episode psychosis.
We are a well-functioning and fully staffed unit with very strong team cohesion. The unit has a well-established and engaged group of six permanent nurses. As one of them will be studying to become a specialist nurse full-time for one year, we are now looking for a substitute.
Responsibilities
As a nurse with us, you play a central role where you contribute medical and nursing competence. You plan and coordinate treatment measures, support measures, and the practical help the patient needs. Your work includes psychiatric nursing, medication clinics together with your nursing colleagues, structured medication follow-ups, health conversations, support for patients in maintaining healthy lifestyles, and telephone counseling via TeleQ.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with a couple of years of professional experience. Previous experience working in psychiatry, interest in psychotic illnesses, and experience working with this patient group are meritorious.
To take on this role, you need to be self-reliant and confident in your profession.
Furthermore, you need to be proactive in your work and able to quickly adapt to new routines and tasks. Flexibility, teamwork skills, and a high level of commitment are also qualities we value highly. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
Conditions
Temporary position, full-time from 2026-09-01 to 2027-08-31 with a possible extension. The clinic is open Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; we apply flexible working hours. There is an opportunity to work remotely approx. one day/week. Start date by agreement.

The position is filled subject to the condition that it does not need to be used for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.
