Property Developer for Public Transport Properties – Fixed-term Position

The Regional Area West Properties, within Construction and Management, holds customer responsibility and acts as the representative for the property owner in matters concerning the region's property portfolio. We provide premises for the region's operations. The Public Transport Properties unit is responsible for Västtrafik's combined needs for properties, vehicle depots, travel centers, and bus stop equipment. We are now looking for a property manager with a focus on property development for a fixed-term position.

Job Description

Within the field of property development, your focus will be on one or several large and complex individual property development projects or programs, where you act as the project owner. You are responsible for the planning of the projects and prepare political decision support materials for investments.

The role includes ensuring that current physical development plans are established and followed in each respective project, as well as adjusting detailed plans as needed. You conduct needs analyses, preliminary studies, and initiate changes to premises with a focus on and responsibility for the customer's need for functional premises.

You will be one of three property developers. Within Public Transport Properties, we are a total of 23 colleagues, consisting of property managers, project managers, and technical managers.

The position is located at Regionens Hus in Gothenburg. The role involves travel, and a Class B driver's license is required. Where possible, public transport is used for travel. The role is a fixed-term position of approximately 1 year, starting in autumn 2026.

The employment is as a property manager with a focus on property development.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a university or civil engineer in civil engineering, or alternatively have other education and experience assessed as equivalent.

You have several years of experience working with projects within infrastructure, urban development, and civil engineering. You have been involved in the development of strategic property planning as well as in early stages. Experience from larger projects, property transactions, and good knowledge of the property market in Gothenburg are meritorious.

You have a good ability to create and maintain good relationships, and you communicate and express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You have good collaboration skills and a clear drive forward. To thrive in the role, we think you enjoy taking significant responsibility, understand the importance of having a holistic perspective, are proactive, and have a systematic working method with a good ability to make decisions and act based on them.

Recruitment Process

The position may be placed in a security classification, which means that security clearance and register checks may be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act before employment.
