The Swedish Defence Estates Agency is experiencing strong growth, both as a property owner and as an expert authority within fortification, i.e., protection and facility technology. Your daily work – contributing to Sweden's defence capability

We have a government mandate to ensure that the Defence Forces have well-functioning facilities, land, and premises for their operations, and we are a key part of the country's crisis preparedness. The Steering Unit coordinates the Agency's business planning, follow-up, and finance, and supports management through analysis and goal setting.

As a Business Controller, you share responsibility for planning and monitoring operations. Your tasks include participating in updating the Agency's business plan and breaking it down into key figures and indicators. Throughout the year, you will follow up and summarize the operational status and present it to the Management Group and the Board. In this role, answers are not always given or defined, often requiring innovative thinking. The role will also involve contributing to the development of the Agency's processes and the unit's tasks. The pace is fast, and you will take significant personal responsibility, but we support each other to ensure a good work-life balance. Qualifications

We are looking for you who have an academic education in economics, accounting, political science, or another university or college education relevant to the position. It is a requirement that you have at least five years of experience working as a Business Controller. You must have excellent knowledge of business steering and follow-up, as well as good analytical skills. It is important that you have good administrative skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Swedish citizenship and a Class B driver's license are required.

Previous experience as a controller in the public sector, as well as experience with property-related or Swedish Armed Forces-related issues, is meritorious. Experience in developing and improving processes in steering matters is also considered an advantage.

The position is a permanent employment, although a probationary period may apply. Location at the headquarters in Eskilstuna or as agreed. Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as positions at the Swedish Defence Estates Agency are security-classified.
