About Us

The Endoscopy Clinic East operates endoscopic services within gastroenterology five days a week. We perform colonoscopies, gastroscopies, ERCP, capsule endoscopy, and are also specialized in an advanced technique for removing large polyps in the intestine (ESD). Most of our operations are elective, but we also perform urgent examinations on inpatients. The clinic has four examination rooms, and we also have access to a room on the surgical ward, where we perform endoscopic examinations under anesthesia with the help of anesthesia staff one day a week. A few sessions per month, we perform examinations under light anesthesia (Propofol) in our own premises. We work daytime Monday to Friday and are closed on all public holidays. As the activity develops, we need to expand our staffing, and we are currently looking for a new employee.

Endoscopy activities are constantly developing, and every day brings new knowledge and experiences. As a nurse with us, you will receive internal lectures from our own doctors and sometimes from external speakers. All staff categories on the unit work together as a team. The composition of staff varies in age and experience, and the more experienced colleagues are happy to share their knowledge. We dedicate a lot of time to improving and developing our activities.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse at the endoscopy clinic, you have varied responsibilities. One day you are placed in what we call "uppvak" (recovery/prep), which means you receive and prepare patients for the examination and observe them afterwards. You are also responsible for booking urgent examinations for inpatients. This is done in the operation program Orbit. Another day you are placed in the examination room where you assist the endoscopist and have patient responsibility for one patient at a time. You handle medications and document in Melior according to local routines. The job also includes administrative tasks, such as monitoring and responding to cases in 1177, as well as having an advisory role for other units within the hospital.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and preferably have worked for a few years. Previous experience from endoscopic/gastroenterological activities is meritorious. You should be proactive, work systematically, and be open to changes. You meet all patients and employees with respect and are a good ambassador for the activity. We are convinced that you have a desire to give that little extra and that you enjoy working in a team. It is important that you have good self-awareness and a willingness to show results.
