About the position

The Hearing Rehabilitation department at Rosenlund is part of the Medical Unit Ear, Nose, Throat, Hearing, and Balance at Karolinska University Hospital.

As an audiologist with us, you work with extended hearing rehabilitation from a holistic perspective. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Needs assessments
  • Hearing tests
  • Fitting of hearing aids and assistive devices
  • Rehabilitative interventions for patients with hearing loss and tinnitus.

We work with a wide range of hearing aids from several different suppliers and offer recurring training to ensure you can continuously develop your technical and clinical competence.

The work is interdisciplinary, where audiologists, doctors, hearing educators, psychologists, counselors, and technicians collaborate to ensure the patient's rehabilitation from a holistic perspective.

Adjacent to the clinic is also a hearing aid workshop with drop-in services, where technicians and audiologists work closely together.

As part of Karolinska University Hospital, the role also includes supervising audiology students and the opportunity to participate in internal and external educational initiatives and lectures.

If needed, the position may also involve working at other hearing clinics within the Medical Unit Ear, Nose, Throat, Hearing, and Balance.

  • Are pedagogical and adapt your way of conveying information based on the individual's needs and prerequisites
  • Are service-oriented and have a professional attitude when meeting with patients and their relatives.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Licensed audiologist

Merits:

  • Interest in and experience with rehabilitative interventions, both individually and in groups
  • Previous experience working as an audiologist
