The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments, with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of preschool, primary school, and child/student health services, we are here for children and students – together we shape the future.

Job Responsibilities

As a school nurse in Team Sydväst, you work health-promoting, preventive, and student-focused together with the schools' student health teams, primarily in two of our four primary schools. With us, you have a meaningful and independent role where you are a key person for the students' health and well-being. You belong to the medical student health service and collaborate closely with both the school and central support functions.

Main responsibilities:

• Work to promote and prevent issues to give students the best possible conditions for learning and development.
• Be responsible for the student health service's medical interventions according to the basic program, which includes health visits, vaccinations according to the child vaccination program, growth checks, and open reception.
• Be an active part of the school's student health team (EHT), contributing your medical expertise to create learning environments that promote student health.
• Collaborate with students, guardians, and school staff, as well as handle external contacts with actors such as pediatric medicine and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP).
• Document work digitally in the journal system Prorenata and ensure high patient safety at all levels.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who thrive in an independent role where you, with high professional integrity, drive and are responsible for the medical work at your school. You have a structured approach that ensures the student health service's interventions are carried out with good order and high patient safety.

As a person, you are skilled at building trust, making you a secure point for students and a natural collaboration partner for guardians. You see collaboration as a success factor and contribute your medical expertise in the team to create an environment where every student can feel good and succeed in school.

We are looking for you who:

• Are a registered nurse with specialist education as a district nurse, pediatric nurse, or school nurse.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience working with children and adolescents within student health services.
• Experience with digital documentation, especially in the Prorenata system.
• Experience in interdisciplinary work.

Employment Terms

• Salary: Monthly salary.
• Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: 3-6 months.
