Job Description

As a contact nurse at the clinic, you are responsible for being particularly accessible to the clinic's cancer patients. The role includes providing support during normal crisis reactions, informing about upcoming steps in care and treatment, and facilitating contacts with other professional groups.

Counseling and follow-up for the patient take place both via telephone and clinic visits. Your responsibility is to create care plans and include patients in relevant studies.

The role of contact nurse is part of the tumor team, which consists of doctors, contact nurses, assistant nurses, dietitians, social workers, speech therapists, physiotherapists, and SVF coordinators.

The position also includes routine nursing work at the outpatient clinic as well as telephone counseling via TeleQ and 1177.

Work Group

We are a team of about fifty employees at the clinic, including doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, care administrators, physiotherapists, and dietitians. We enjoy working together and are looking for you who want to be part of our operations and our team.

About You

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse.

Experience in ear, nose, and throat care, clinic work, or previous experience as a contact nurse in cancer care is considered an advantage. You have fluent Swedish skills in both speech and writing. We are looking for someone who enjoys a fast pace and thrives when work is flexible and can easily adapt when the operations require it.

The work is varied and places high demands on seeing opportunities when changes occur, and you thrive in this environment. The role involves many contact points with the patient, colleagues, and other professions, where you are expected to be attentive and communicative. This requires teamwork and the ability to work independently. You handle situations smoothly. To succeed in the role and assignment, structure is required, and you are expected to be able to prioritize effectively. In this recruitment, great importance will be placed on personal qualities.
