Responsibilities

The project aims to develop and implement model-based methods to create vertical cyber situational awareness by merging locally collected information from, for example, Security Operations Centers (SOCs), into more comprehensive and decision-supporting analyses. Using Meta Attack Language (MAL) as the technical foundation, the project will develop modeling languages, graph construction solutions, and prototypes that can transform data regarding alarms, logs, vulnerabilities, system architectures, attack surfaces, and defensive capabilities into analyzable models. These models will enable attack path analysis and the presentation of cyber situational awareness at multiple levels of abstraction, ranging from the operational SOC level to the central decision-making level. The work is carried out iteratively in close collaboration with the Swedish Armed Forces and includes needs analysis, development of MAL-based artifacts, methods for model and information fusion, as well as demonstration and visualization in relevant type or lab environments.

• A completed PhD degree or a foreign degree assessed to be equivalent to a PhD. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time when the employment decision is made.
• Swedish citizenship and fluent Swedish in both speech and writing, as the work requires it.
• Good collaborative skills

About the Position

The employment is permanent, but for a maximum period of two years.

A postdoctoral position is a time-limited merit-based appointment with a primary focus on research, intended as a first career step after obtaining a doctorate.
