Workplace Description
S:t Eriks Gymnasium is a large upper secondary school located on Kungsholmen in central Stockholm. Here, there is an exciting mix of university-preparatory programs and vocational programs where creativity and knowledge are at the center.
The school offers a diversity of education, activities, nationalities, and languages, making it a fun and stimulating workplace for both students and staff.
We prepare students for university through the Arts Programme (Visual Arts and Design, Animation, Film and Direction, Instrument or Voice, Event Technology, Musical and Theatre), the Natural Science Programme, and the Social Science Programme (Media, Information and Communication, Social Science). We train for professions in fine woodworking, floristry, hairdressing, design and sewing, as well as the Electricity and Energy Programme with specializations in automation and electrical engineering. We also offer adult education, introductory programs, and the National School for the Physically Disabled (RGRH).

Job Description
We are looking for you who are an upper secondary school teacher in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language.
You will teach the subjects Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language in groups with students from various national programs and vocational programs, as well as for student groups on the Introductory Program. You will be part of a work team and subject team with pleasant colleagues. The role includes mentorship.
Qualifications
It is an advantage if you have experience working with youth in need of special support, special educational adaptations, and students with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF).
- You have a teaching license in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language.
- You have previously worked within upper secondary education and are familiar with the GY25 curriculum.
- You have the education and experience that the employer deems necessary for the position.
As a teacher in Stockholm City, you are expected to be a skilled pedagogue who is curious about student learning, tries new paths, and collaborates. You understand the importance of proper feedback so that the student understands their own learning. You are expected to plan, organize, and prioritize your tasks in an efficient manner. You maintain professional relationships with students and colleagues. You have good communication skills with students, their guardians, and your colleagues.
Other Information
The position is a temporary vacancy starting in August 2026 until January 2027.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
